Perched on top of a bluff overlooking acres of verdant fairways and breathtaking views of the Colorado River, the Mansion at ColoVista is a private residence turned into an event location and country club for ColoVista Golf Course in Bastrop, Texas. The 16,000-square-foot, red-bricked mansion features white round columns, glass-paned windows and a wraparound porch that all reflect the Greek Revival architecture style.
The location of the Mansion at ColoVista amidst endless greens, forests of trees that change colors in fall and under clear blue skies makes for gorgeous wedding photographs and backdrops for outdoor events. Choose from the following indoor and outdoor event spaces to hold your special day:
The Grand Foyer and Ballroom. The grand two-story foyer welcomes couples and their guests as they enter the spacious hilltop Mansion at ColoVista. As they enter the house, they walk on Italian-cut marble tiles and are greeted by the curved floating staircase. Gorgeous crystal chandeliers light up the sunny, airy space, while white round columns divide the foyer from the main reception area and the ballroom. Two fireplaces with marble and wood mantels sit on opposite sides of the space. A line of paneled French doors lets natural light in and serves as a doorway to the other side of the mansion and outdoors. The grand foyer also doubles as a wedding ceremony site in case of inclement weather.
The Garden. Covered with a lush carpet of well-maintained grass, the garden is accessible from the side and back of the mansion and serves as the main outdoor site for ceremonies. Lush trees surround the hilltop garden like a fence and provide shade for the party. An arbor stands near the edge of the hill; beyond it is a magnificent view of the golf course.
The Den. Located directly above the ballroom and the main reception site, the large den houses a small library with built-in bookcases and a bar with glass shelves. Its oak floors and fireplaces create a warm, cozy atmosphere inside the space. The den is a comfortable place for private cocktail hours as well as an exciting dance floor for guest who want to meander onto the veranda to look up and gaze into the moonlight.
